#France #Zambia: Actress Suzy Bemba has been honored as one of the 2024 European Shooting Stars, an initiative by European Film Promotion (EFP) to highlight promising young talents in the film industry.
Her recognition comes as a part of the 27th edition of this prestigious event, which aims to showcase the continent’s most promising on-screen talents to the international press, industry, and public during the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).
Bemba initially pursued a career in medicine before discovering her passion for cinema. She has since appeared in a variety of films and series that showcase her range and depth as an actress.
Notable among her works are her roles in the French TV series L’OPERA, created by Cécile Ducrocq and Benjamin Adam, as well as roles in POOR THINGS by Yorgos Lanthimos, DRIFT by Anthony Chen, and HOMECOMING by Catherine Corsini, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, and has been her highest profile and most recognized role to date.
The European Shooting Stars program has been a critical stepping stone for many actors, helping to launch international careers by increasing their visibility within the global film community.
