Today’s press conference unveiled the first wave of titles for Cannes 2025.

Among them, two African debut features in the Un Certain Regard section:

🎬 My Father’s Shadow by Akinola Davies Jnr (Nigeria/UK)
🎬 Aisha Can’t Fly Away by Morad Mostafa (Egypt + co-pros)

One African feature in #Cannes2025 Competition:

🎬 Eagles of the Republic by Tarik Saleh (Egypt/Sweden)
