Showmax has released a teaser for the South African adaptation of “The Office,” titled “Die Kantoor,” which premieres on 20 January 2026, with kykNET previewing episode one on 18 January.
The series is set in an Afrikaans-speaking polony factory called Deluxe Processed Meats and is the 14th international version of the BBC Studios format.
Written and directed by SAFTA and Silwerskerm winner Bennie Fourie, the Showmax Original features Albert Pretorius as Flip, an office manager eager for his life to be documented.
The ensemble includes Schalk Bezuidenhout, Lida Botha, Carl Beukes, Ilse Oppelt, Daniah de Villiers, Mehboob Bawa, Sipumziwe Lucwaba, and Gert du Plessis.
